Start with the complete wetted-material inventory
ASHRAE identifies wetted-material compatibility and serviceability as considerations in coolant selection. The inventory should include the components that can be easy to overlook: seals, hoses, connectors, and the heat exchanger as well as the cold plate.
Ask what the evidence covers
Our qualification checklist asks for the exact fluid, material designation, test conditions, duration, and acceptance criteria behind a compatibility statement. Evidence about one material and condition should not be presented as proof for an entire assembled system.

- Does the evidence cover the proposed formulation?
- Does it cover the actual material grade or component?
- What temperatures and exposure conditions were evaluated?
- What was measured and what counted as acceptable?
- What remains subject to equipment qualification?
